March for Babies

Each year 543,000 or one in eight babies in the United States are born prematurely. The number of premature births has risen by 30% since 1981. Even babies born just a few weeks too soon can face serious health challenges and are at risk of lifelong disabilities. Premature births costs more than $26 billion a year. March of Dimes works to reduce premature birth rates by raising public awareness, educating moms-to-be and health care provides. Every year new research studies are funded through March of Dimes.

Saturday, April 16, I will join my brother and his Farmer’s Group Team to March for Babies. We will walk 3.5 miles to raise funds to help prevent premature births. I only joined the team two days ago so my fund raising window is small. Won’t you give $5 or $10 to help me reach my $50 goal? Visit my personal page, http://www.marchforbabies.org/beckycrumptonmiller to make a secure on line donation.

Thank you for helping me give all babies a healthy start.
