The Final Chapter

Posted on January 3, 2014January 3, 2014 by beckyjmiller

It’s the day we have dreaded all week, our final day with the kids at the center.  We knew it would come, but all of us hoped it wouldn’t.  We hoped that somehow we could delay it, but we can’t.  Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “For everything there is Read More

Welcome 2014!

Posted on January 2, 2014January 2, 2014 by beckyjmiller

Well, it’s here!!  Whether you welcomed or shunned it, a new year is upon us.  Somehow it just seems incredibly remarkable that this team chose to begin their new year on the mission field.  I can’t help but think that means God has something extraordinary planned in Read More

Adventures on the Mission Field

Posted on January 1, 2014January 1, 2014 by beckyjmiller

After a busy and adventuresome Monday, we boarded the busses for home.  None of us were really ready to leave, but knowing we would return in the morning kept the pep in our step.  The trip home was filled with jubilant renditions of everything from B-I-N-G-O to Read More

When God Calls: A Walk of Faith

Posted on September 9, 2013September 9, 2013 by beckyjmiller

God created four seasons; Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Theoretically, each season lasts about three months, except, of course, places like Texas. Texas basically has two seasons, Hot and Slightly Less Hot. The seasons of my life seem to progress much like the seasons in Texas – – they are long, often dry and sometimes Read More

Farewell to Haiti

Posted on December 31, 2012January 1, 2013 by beckyjmiller

Wow!! It never crossed my mind that I would welcome the new year in thousands of miles from home serving on the mission field, but here I am. It’s officially 2013 and I’m in Haiti. I can’t help but think God was very intentional regarding my location for the first day of the year. My Read More
