My Son

Green eyes, auburn hair, your arrival brings answered prayer
Chubby cheeks and curly hair, baby boy beyond compare
Toothless wonder, eyes alert, puppies, dinosaurs and digging for dirt
Growing, growing, all too fast, toddler days do not last
Football, soccer, and baseball too, any sport will do
All too soon the years roll through and now I must say good bye to you
My son, my son almost a man; you make me proud for what you stand
Heart breaks, tears flow, for now it is time to let you go

Wow. Your best yet. Very dear to my heart…reminds me of how fast my son and daughters grew up and how precious is each one.
